Meet the Photographer: Mark Hamilton
Photography has always been a big part of my life. Growing up my family took and displayed photos of special moments and daily life, from professional portraits to personal family photos of washing the car to learning to ride a bike, and more.
At the time, I didn't understand the value of those photos, but as I've grown I come to understand what my parents and grandparents were doing - they were capturing and preserving our family's legacy, special moments and memories to be enjoyed over and over again.
Pursuing my passion for photography, I photograph my family with the same dedication and tenacity my parents and grandparents did. I find joy and take pride in capturing the seemingly mundane and daily moments of life, as well as the special moments like riding a bike without training wheels the first time.
As a kid I hated having my picture taken; now I enjoy it, and I even take my own self-portrait (not selfie) every so often. Like me, you may not be entirely comfortable in front of the camera, but when I look back and see all the captured memories and wonderful moments I'd forgotten about it makes being in the photo worth it every time.
My hope is that you feel the same way. Our memories and moments are meant to be captured, preserved, and shared. I would be honored to capture your special moments, preserving them to share with your family and friends.
When I'm not busying with photography, my time is spent enjoying life and making memories with my family, enjoying a cup (or twelve) of coffee, expanding my knowledge of business, and coaching gymnastics.
