5/18/2018 1 Comment Mud Play is Fun PlayI think most kids regardless of age find joy in playing in the mud and getting dirty. Lately, one of my favorite things to do is watch my son play in his "mud pit" in our back yard. He digs, he creates, imagining everything from road construction to digging for dinosaur bones, and the joy he has doing it reminds me of the simple pleasures of my childhood doing similar things. This series of photos "Mud Play is Fun Play" is all from one day. One day where he played for hours in his mud pit; one day where his silliness and creativity was awe inspiring. Not only did I enjoy creating these photos, but I just simply enjoyed watching him be completely silly and enjoy getting as dirty as possible. You'll find the photos from the series below are broken up into three different sets. I also shot this entire series in black and white for my own aesthetic enjoyment; I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Part 1: the mud pit Part 2: Muddy Water fun Part 3: Get as muddy as Possible When you just let kids be themselves and explore the world around them, you will never cease to be amazed. They find joy in simplest things (often to the chagrin of their parents), and it's hard not to be drawn into their world of wonder and amazement. One of my favorite things to do is capture these moments of exploration, joy, wonder, amazement, creativeness, and total silliness.
I hope you enjoy this series as much as I do.
